Since the gov't has decided to take such a strong stance against gays because the bible says too, I have secretly located a list of future amendments that we should be planning to see, since that all-knowing book-of-books is such a cornucopia of knowledge as it pertains to the holy union that is marriage.

I thought chirch and state were supposed to be separate. What about civil ceremonies? What if two gay Jews wanted to get married? Can the church step in there? What about Budhists, Hindus, Wiccans or athiests? Can they marry, then?

XXXIX is just...it's the worst I think.

Since the government has decided to be religious about marriage. Why not go after everything else to. Like, if they want to make gay marriages illegal, they should go after masturbating too. And any sex that isn't done for conception. And they should outlaw all types of birth control. And they should make all those commandments law, punishable by death so you can stand before god and take his punishment. yes. That's what they should do.

According to my Grandmother too much masturbating will cause blindness, no need to punish them twice..

On an interesting tangent, I was reading the laws regarding bigamy and to be honest, as uinattractive as the concept may be to most, I couldn't find any supportable reasoning why it's illegal aside from standardfaire Christain rhetoric.
